September 2016 Newsletter

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I extend a warm welcome to all our pupils and their families and look forward to an action-packed year at St. Peter’s. In order to fulfil all the requirements of the curriculum it is important that we proceed with the minimum of interruption.

Please have your child ON TIME for school every morning and do not take holidays during school term.

It has come to my attention that some parents are parking directly outside the school in the mornings where cones are placed beside the zig-zag lines. It is an offence to use this area as a ‘drop-off’ point and it seriously endangers children’s lives. From now on please do not stop in this area for ALL children’s safety.

Each child should have a lunch box which serves two purposes (a) pupils are responsible for their own waste, (b) you will see how much lunch they eat each day. If they are not eating their lunch please could you discuss this with them.

Please leave all jewellery at home on P.E. days. Also please wear the correct school tracksuit and proper runners. Canvas runners are not suitable for P.E. Jerseys are not permitted in school.

All pupils should have a small face cloth to dry their hands during the day.

All items of clothing, tracksuit tops and bottoms, jumpers etc should be clearly marked with pupils’ names.

If any parents have uniforms/tracksuits that pupils have finished with we’d appreciate it if they donated them to the school.

Homework must be completed each evening and journal signed by parents/ guardians.

The staff are committed to providing the best possible education for all our pupils. We thank you sincerely for your support in the past and look forward to working together in the future.

Sincerely:

Joan Quinn, Principal
