The 2015 Parkside Schools Annual Cross-Country Running Competition was held on Wednesday March 4th under blazing spring sunshine and a cloudless sky in Pope John Paul II Park, Cabra . We had 50 pupils taking part in total; with 10 pupils in each of five age groups from U-9 up to U-13. It was a most enjoyable day with every boy and girl putting in their very best effort as parents and teachers shouted encouragement along the tough course. St. Peter’s came home with a haul of seven trophies, hard-won by the following pupils: Brooke Fagan Merrigan 4th class, Sandybelle Feliselda 3rd class, Zack O Connor 2nd class, Matthew McAllorum 5th class, Callum Hutch 4th class, Jordan Kondo 6th class and Jack Hoey 6th class. Congratulations to these pupils and to everybody who did the school proud by taking part in this event.
The highlights video from the day is now live on Vimeo and Youtube.

A big team of athletes have started training every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after school for individual sprints, hurdles and relay races. Best of luck to everybody involved in the preparation for this event!
The Seachtain Na Gaeilge Concert took place on 12th of March. Each class performed songs and poems as Gaeilge in the hall. Ms. Ryan’s class played their tin whistles for everyone and some children even showcased their wonderful Irish dancing skills. There are some very talented children in St. Peter’s!!There was also a ‘Decorate a seanfhocal’ competition. The children were given the task of drawing a picture to depict the meaning of their chosen seanfhocal. Well Done to all entries!
