Science Week in 3rd Class 🔭🧪👨🔬👩🔬
10th Nov 2020
In today's experiment, we investigated the travelling of water up through the stem of a plant. First, we filled three containers with water. Next, we added food colouring to the containers. Finally, we placed a flower in each of the containers. As the day passed, we noticed that the petals of the flowers had begun to change colour.

Our melting and condensation experiment
Light shining through the eggs without their shells💡🥚
Ms Hand then cut the egg and this was the result! 🥚
After leaving the two eggs soaking in vinegar for 24 hours, we checked the results today. Ms Hand scraped off the shell with ease. This was because the acid in the vinegar had dissolved it. Much to our surprise, we realised that the eggs were now bouncy!
We are also investigating the effect of vinegar on eggs. Tune in tomorrow to see the results! 😃
The balloon will also stick to your hand, due to the static electricity✋
After rubbing the balloon against another surface and holding it above our heads, we noticed our hair sticking to the balloon.
Today, we investigated static electricity using balloons 🎈
