Benefit Concert for St. Peter’s NS- Sunday, 25th of June
On Sunday, 25th of June, St. Peter’s Church was the venue for our benefit concert in aid of St. Peter’s NS strings’ project. There were performances from our string orchestra, string ensemble (comprising Lily and Aaron on 1st violin, Isabella and Dara on 2nd violins and Adam D and Adam K on cello). Our community orchestra, the Offbeat Ensemble also played some memorable pieces from Samuel Barber’s Adagio to themes from West Side Story. Thanks to the Offbeat for supporting St. Peter’s strings.
We would like to thank Fr. Devlin and the staff of St. Peter’s Church, Derek and our SNAs for their preparation of the strings’ programme each week, to Derek, Collette and the Parents Association committee for promoting the event and to Kathryn and Ciara (from our PA) for organising entry and tickets on the day.
A special word of thanks to the staff of St. Peter’s for their hard work each week with their classes, to Ciara (our magnificent strings’ tutor) and to the wonderful boys and girls in the school and within our orchestra. We have exciting plans in store for the 2023/2024 school year.
