Storm Barra, Christmas Jumper/Act of Kindness Day on the 17th of December, Mask wearing Frequently asked questions for pupils from 3rd-6th class and early school closures on the 22nd of December 2021.
Dear parent/guardian,
- We hope you are keeping well and safe today. We will keep you updated regarding the situation with Storm Barra over the course of the day. We expect that the school will be open as normal tomorrow (Wednesday, 8th of December).
- On Friday, the 17th of December, we are having a Christmas Jumper Day/Act of Kindness Day where the pupils/staff can dress up in Christmas Jumpers (if they wish) or wear green or red clothes. Please note that there is absolutely no need for parents to purchase Christmas jumpers for their children. Pupils can wear green or red if they wish or can treat the day as a non-uniform day. We don’t want to put any pressure on parents given the time of year so we will not be collecting for any charities on this occasion.
3. I have also included the staggered earlier closures for Wednesday, 22nd of December 2021 (Christmas holidays). Please note that school will reopen (with staggered arrivals) as normal on Thursday, 6th of January 2022.

When you have collected your child, please leave the school area straight away. If you are collecting children at different times, please wait on the footpath across the road from the school. Please collect your child on time.

Please ensure you collect your child on time and be aware of maintaining distance.
Please do not gather near the school gate, paths or at exits after collecting your child.
We have limited space and it needs to be kept clear so we can keep up safe social distancing outside the school.
Lots of classes will be exiting so we need all parents to adhere to this.
Please do not remain on the paths or walk ways outside the school after your child is collected. Thank you for your co-operation.
