Today, 6th class visited Glasnevin Cemetery to take part in a workshop and tour. Our tour guide was Ciarán, who taught us so much about the history of Ireland and historical figures in Ireland.
We visited Daniel O' Connell's crypt and one lucky student got to look after the key to the crypt! We visited the graves of many famous Irish historical people, including Michael Collins, Charles Stewart Parnell, Constance Markievicz and James Larkin.
During the workshop, we took part in lots of activities to explore chronology, primary sources, Home Rule and many other topics.
We thoroughly enjoyed the day.
