Today we did a science experiment where we explored how materials can change from a solid into a gas. As it is nearly Halloween, we started off by drawing a spooky ghost face onto a balloon. Then we measured vinegar into a bottle and baking soda into the balloon using a funnel to make sure none of it spilled. When this was finished, we attached the balloon to the top of the bottle and tipped the baking soda from the balloon into the vinegar. We waited patiently and very soon, we could see that the vinegar and baking soda mixing together was creating a gas! This gas then started to blow up the balloon and we could see our spooky ghost faces very clearly! We had a lot of fun doing this science experiment!
