Important Message to parent and guardians
9th Nov 2020
Thanks for all of your support over the past two months. The staff of St. Peter’s are still very concerned about congestion outside the main gates (1 and 2), Dalymount Lane (beside the main entrance) and all along the front wall of the school.
Unnecessary congestion leads to health and safety concerns as well as making it difficult to maintain our social distancing protocols.
From Monday, 9th of November, we are looking for parents/guardians/minders to please co- operate with the following requests:
- Once parents have dropped their child(ren) inside the school gates that they do not wait outside the railings until they are collected by their teacher. Please move to the footpath opposite the school as it is very disturbing for our students and it causes unnecessary congestion.
- Please do not stand in the blue rectangles at the main entrances as they need to keep unoccupied (at all times).
- All adults/parents/guardians should wear a face covering outside the school for the health and safety of all.
- Please adhere to social distancing when outside the school and remind your children of this also.
- Please avoid walking in the middle of the road (where possible) as it’s still very busy (even with our School Zone status).
- Please do not arrive too early to school. If your child is due in between 9-9:15, don’t arrive at 8:30 as it leads to unnecessary congestion.
- Please do not enter the gates unless called to do so or unless an appointment has been arranged in advance.
- Constantly remind your child about the importance of social distancing, hand hygiene and coughing/sneezing etiquette.
- Always keep your child at home if they are displaying any signs/symptoms of Covid-19 and notify the school immediately either by phone (01) 8680501, email-office@stpetersns.net or email your child’s class teachers between school hours (8am-4pm)
We hope you understand the health and safety reasons behind these requests and thank you for your co- operation in the above matters.
Thanks,
R. Ryan and staff of St. Peter's N.S.
R. Ryan and staff involved in supervision of main entrances.
