St. Peter's N.S. hosted an open evening (for new junior infant entrants and potential new entrants from senior infants-6th class) on Tuesday, 15th of November from 6:30-8:00pm. It was great chance for parents and pupils to explore our wonderful school, meet with an infant teacher and other staff members (including members of the Board of Management), gain an insight into our after-school clubs/activities and round it all off with some refreshments provided by our school lunch provider (Glanmore Foods).
The night was a tremendous success with a huge turnout of parents and pupils for both tours. A sincere thanks to all the staff/parents and pupils who were heavily involved. Thanks to Ms. Vaughan (who represented our parental interests at the HSCL stand); to Ms. Danaher (who represented our infant teachers and presented in her classroom); Ms. Doran, Ms. Horan and Zack (5th class pupil) who represented after-school clubs; to Ciara our wonderful strings’ tutor; to Ms. Concannon, Ms. Kirrane, Ms. Brosnan who served refreshments and to John Dunne (our chairperson of the Board of Management). Thanks also to Derek for setting up the hall and Collette for preparing resources for the night. A special work of thanks to Viv (Glanmore foods) for providing refreshments.
