Stoneybatter Festival 2023

Dublin 7: The Stoney Steps of Joyce by Paula's Drama students: Following in the footsteps of James Joyce who lived across the road from our school, the drama students took time to take footsteps around their own streets and fully observe their surroundings. They created a large map, clay houses and painted stones and placed 'treasures' they found from their neighbourhoods in glass jars to border the map. The art piece was accompanied by music, song, spoken word and poetry performances on the day. The Stoneybatter Festival committee were so taken by our artworks that they asked to hold on to them so they could exhibit them for the rest of the festival.
