On Thursday, 21st of December, we hosted a whole school assembly. Four of our student council members led the proceedings (Jenny, Seán, Miriam and Hendrix). We had singing performances from our junior and senior infants, a lovely rendition of 'Bualadh Bos' from our combined 1st classes, our 3rd classes also sang an amhrán 'as Gaeilge' a lovely poem from 4th class and some beautiful singing from our 5th classes- including a trio singing 'All I want for Christmas is You'. Ms. Carroll's 6th class rounded off the performances with a lovely version of 'Carol of the Bells' complimented by our marvellous string trio and our xylophone ensemble. Our string trio also performed Pachelbel's Canon and Lily (school orchestra leader) played an excerpt from Csárdás' 'Vittorio Monti'.
Our assembly concluded with our whole school song ('Maybe This Christmas'). Thanks to our soloists in Ms. Brosnan's 3rd class, Eduard in Ms. Carroll's 6th class and our string trio for supporting the school in singing this beautiful song.
We would like to thank all of our school staff (teachers, support teachers, Ms. Vaughan our HSCL, SNAs, ancillary staff and all those who work closely with the school on a daily basis) who help support and guide our pupils enabling them to reach their full potential.
